Cody Rhodes wants revenge after a fan helped him at Thanksgiving

WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes wants to upfront a fan’s kindness after being helped with Thanksgiving shopping.

Amid the wildness of 2022, the former TNT Champion’s WWE return is one of the biggest moments of the year. His return to WrestleMania 38 as a surprise opponent for Seth Rollins will be talked about for years to come.

The American Nightmare has been sidelined since the premium live event “Hell in a Cell” in June, when he faced Seth Rollins with a torn pec in the title match of the show’s main event. Despite working through and winning the match with a gruesome injury, Cody underwent surgery right after and left the team for an estimated 6-9 months of recovery.

Cody recently shared a story on Twitter about how his payment method stopped working during his Thanksgiving shopping, so the person behind him in line helped him out. He went on to write that he now wants to help someone who needs it.

“Last minute visit to the store this morning and Apple Pay was not accepted, the guy behind me saved me – very grateful I would like to return the favor to someone who is not having their best day or is in need. Suggestions…”

With the lower estimate for pec recovery being six months, many are predicting that Cody Rhodes will make his triumphant return to next year’s Royal Rumble, possibly even winning the match to advance to WrestleMania 39.

Cody Rhodes recently reacted to a picture shared by WWE of him as Stardust

WWE recently shared a gallery of Superstars from past Survivor Series events on their website ahead of this year’s edition. The gallery contains images from Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch and John Cena. It also included a 2014 image of Cody Rhodes working under the Stardust gimmick.

Cody has historically cited Stardust as one of the reasons he applied for his WWE release in 2016. He has beaten up the character on many occasions and shown his disdain for it.

The former Intercontinental Champion has now spoken out again about the character, claiming it is important for his personal growth.

“Damn, my friend! I am very grateful to Stardust. It was a professional low point, but still quite successful.

Hell friend! I am very thankful for Stardust. It was a professional low point, but still quite successful. I had to hit rock bottom to hit the grades I am now. #do the work twitter.com/ItsTheCostanza…

While we’ve grappled with Stardust, it’s safe to say that we’ll never see Cody Rhodes dawn that attire and gimmick ever again.
