God of War: Ragnarök – Where to find all seasonal deer

To find each seasonal stag during “A Stag for All Seasons” in God of War: Ragnarök, players must search the three main zones of Vanaheim.

After the discovery of the Vanaheim crater during the “Scent of Survival“Fall in God of War: Ragnarokplayers can speak to Ratatoskr in Sindri’s house to receive another favor called “A deer for all seasons.” This side quest involves finding seasonal stags, mystical creatures that can take care of the Tree of Yggdrasil. According to Ratatoskr, the tree is a bit overgrown, but these magical stags can graze on the Yggdrasil leaves to keep it clean. Therefore it is up to Kratos to explore the world in search of these four season deer God of War: Ragnarok.


To complete the “A deer for all seasons“Fall in God of War: Ragnarok, Kratos must use Ratatoskr’s special fodder to calm the seasonal stags after encountering them in the wild, allowing the Spectral Squirrels to safely bring the stags back to Yggdrasil. As you’d expect, the main challenge of this favor is finding the unmarked locations for each of these Seasonal Deer. Fortunately, all deer can be found in the realm of Vanaheim. Specifically, players can encounter the creatures in The Jungle, The Plains, and The Sinkholes.

spring The next mystical gateway to the Stag of Spring in God of War Ragnarök Head east from the Mystic Gateway of The Jungle Entrance and swing across the river with the Blades of Chaos. Open the metal gate to enter a tunnel. Use the Draupnir Spear in the cave to climb onto a raised shelf. Continue through the cave’s linear path to reach the wishing well. The Seasonal Stag of Spring is near the fountain entrance.
Summer The next mystical gateway to the Stag of Summer in God of War Ragnarök Hurry to the Jungle Mystic Gateway and make sure it’s daylight in Vanaheim God of War: Ragnarok. Board the nearby boat and row in a sinuous arc to the right along the river. After docking and jumping through a rift, use the Blades of Chaos to get to a breakpoint that leads to a small grassy ledge where the Summer Seasonal Stag is located.
autumn The next mystical gateway to the Stag of Autumn in God of War Ragnarök Go to the Sinkholes Entrance Mystic Gateway of The Sinkholes and head right along the creek to encounter the third Seasonal Stag of Fall.
winter The next mystical gateway to the Stag of Winter in God of War Ragnarök Similar to the Autumn Stag, the Winter Seasonal Stag can be found near the mystical gate of the Overgrown Tower in the Plains of Vanaheim God of War: Ragnarok.
